As a blue Indigo Campsite, Douarnenez exclusively offers Wood & Canvas tents for rent that nestle in perfectly with the natural surrounding environment.

Three models of "Wood and Canvas" tent are available.
Designed with a wooden frame and floor, they are fully equipped. They can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people (Classic IV and V Wood & Canvas tents) and have a living area that opens onto a wooden terrace and two separate bedrooms.

The Classic V Cosy tents also have a log stove in the living area so that you can enjoy cosy evenings in a canvas tent even in the inter-season in Brittany.

At Douarnenez Indigo Campsite, you will find:

• a friendly reception area with all the information that you need for a great stay, tourist information on the surrounding region and a free internet point ( reception hours : 8h-12h & 16h-20h)
• a lobby area is open all season, with a log stove, where you can enjoy a coffee, read a book on the region or play a board game with family and friends
• a snack wagon, where you can have a drink on the terrace or enjoy a salad, a home-made pizza (to eat onsite or to take away).
• a television room is also available for your use.
• a grocery corner where you can buy basic supplies and regional products as well as fresh bread and croissants in the morning (order in advance).
• a laundry area with a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and table.

 

Close to the campsite a range of useful services are available in the centre of the village of Douarnenez, which is easily accessible by foot, by bike or by bus. Bakery, bank and supermarket :

…Discover Cornish Brittany…

Close to Douarnenez, you can discover the wild beauty of Cap Sizun and the Pointe du Raz, labelled as Grand Sites of France, and enjoy the spectacular views that they offer. You may even spot Sein Island in the distance! If you love picturesque villages, you will be charmed by Locronan, classified as "The Most Beautiful Villages in France", with its exceptional architectural heritage. Several films have been shot at here… Take some time for a stroll around Audierne, with its traditional houses and coloured boats, and admire the reef breaks at Pointe de la Torche, where frequent surf and funboard competitions are held.

In Quimper, the cultural capital of Brittany, located 20km from Douarnenez Indigo Campsite, you can explore the medieval town, visit St Corentin's cathedral, which is a fine example of gothic Breton art and walk through the interesting gardens of the historic centre. Winner of the National Floral Town Contest, Quimper is located in the heart of Cornish Brittany with its traditional, well-preserved ocean landscapes.
 

…Brest, last stop before America…!

In Brest, you can discover the impressive roadstead, the town centre, its monuments, military heritage and museums, numerous parks and open, grassy areas, and of course don't forget the Océanopolis and its aquariums. Brest is located 1h from Douarnenez Indigo Campsite.

Whatever you decide to visit, make the most of the chance to enjoy some delicious seafood, and taste the local Breton specialities such as custard flans, crêpes and galettes, and of course Douarnenez's Kouign Amann cake.
