Les Châteaux Indigo Campsite

Enjoy accommodation with all the comforts, in the midst of the castles of the Loire, between the Châteaux of Chambord and Cheverny! You can rent a Wood & Canvas tent, a mobile-home, a chalet or a gypsy caravan for a comfortable and revitalising holiday in the heart of nature!

 

• Five models of "Wood and Canvas" tent are available on the Châteaux Indigo Campsite.

Designed with a wooden frame and floor, they are fully equipped.  They have a living area that opens onto a wooden terrace and two separate bedrooms that can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people.

The Classic V Cosy Wood & Canvas tent, for 5 people, also has a log stove, for you to enjoy cosy evenings around a fire!  

The Sweet Wood & Canvas tent, for 5 people, has a bathroom area within the tent.

New 2013 : The Zenith Wood & Canvas tent, for 6 people.
Ground floor : living area with log stove and kitchen area with fridge, 2 hobs, shelves, crockery… A bathroom area with shower, sink, and toilet. A bedroom with two bunk-beds (four 80x190 beds). Mezzanine : a double bed (140x200). Terrace 10m².

Mobil-Homes At the Châteaux Indigo Campsite, it is also possible to stay as a family in a mobile-home that can accommodate up to 4 or 6 people depending on the model. The mobile-homes have a kitchen area, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a semi-shaded terrace.

Chalets You can choose a wooden chalet that can accommodate up to 4 or 6 people, depending on the model. The chalets have a kitchen / living area, 1 or 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a semi-shaded terrace.

• Gypsy Caravans

For a different kind of holiday, you can stay in one of the gypsy caravans at the Châteaux Indigo Campsite.
This original style of accommodation can accommodate up to 4 people, and has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen-living area and a bathroom with separate toilets.

At the Châteaux Indigo Campsite, you will find:

• a cafe-restaurant (open during the May bank holiday weekends and in July and August ) where you can have a drink on the terrace or enjoy one of our salads or home-made pizzas...

Activities and a chance to relax on the campsite...

You can enjoy the swimming pool (open in July and August), play volley-ball, have a game of ping-pong or tennis, and smaller children will love the children's playground. In the summer you can also sign up for our sports tournaments!

 The central lodge is located close to the swimming pool and games area.
 

The Activity programme

 

 In well preserved natural surroundings, in the heart of the Loire, the Châteaux Campsite is ideally situated for a holiday rich in outdoor and cultural activities. In the summer,Les Châteaux ndigo Campsite organises a simple and friendly activity programme giving you the chance to take part in some great activities on the campsite and discover the Sologne.
 

The children's workshops: Children's workshops are organised every weekday morning and involve activities that encourage children to develop new skills and learn and explore in a fun environment. Two workshops are organised over the course of the morning: one for 5-7 year olds and one for 8-11 year olds. During this time, older children can take part in nature walks or bike rides around Bracieux.
In the daytime, we organise a range of activities with our partners, so that you have the chance to discover everything that the region has to offer: walks and bike rides along the 400 km of foot and cycle paths; castle visits – Chambord (8 km), Cheverny (9 km) and Villesavin (3 km) castles are all close to the campsite; the chance to discover more about local wine production; a visit to the Sologne Sheepfold; horse riding in the Sologne countryside or along the trail of the castles; fishing; a guided visit of the Max Vauché chocolate factory, which is one of the best in France and is located at the entrance of the campsite, followed by a chocolate tasting...
Don't miss our volleyball tournaments at 6 o'clock each evening and our other fun games (table tennis, etc.).
In the evenings, come and join in meal nights where you can meet your fellow campers, open air film nights, jazz concerts, night swimming and much more.

Explore the Loire castles!

Camp on the Châteaux Indigo Campsite amidst the castles, and nestled between the Loire river and the forest, and discover the charming village of Bracieux set in lush, green surroundings and all the activities it has to offer.
 

• The village of Bracieux

The centre of the green village of Bracieux is only 150 metres from the campsite and can be reached by a footpath. In the village there are a range of shops and an old covered market dating from the 15th century, where there is a traditional market every Thursday morning, a market for regional produce on Sundays and a craft market in the summer time. You will love the charm of the Loire Valley with its vineyards, its local produce and its crafts....

• The Loire Châteaux

Discover a region rich in historical, cultural and architectural heritage. The Loire Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated between Château of Chambord (8km away) and the Château of Chevergny (9km away), the campsite is nestled in the heart of the Sologne region and is an ideal place to stay as a family and visit the famous châteaux of the Loire: Blois (18km), Villesavin (3km), Beauregard, Chaumont, Chenonceau, Amboise..

The châteaux aren't all there is to the Loire Valley. It is also a real adventure park for people who love outdoor activities, with canoeing down the river Loire and river Cher, outings in futreau boats (traditional boats of the Loire region), horse riding and rides in horse-drawn carts, an 18 hole golf course, a wildlife observatory, an adventure park, swimming in natural waters, fishing in rivers and lakes, visiting farms and sheepfolds, an astronomical observatory,.....

The Châteaux Indigo Campsite is an ideal starting point for the numerous footpaths and cycle trails (400km of cycle paths) which give nature lovers the chance to enjoy the local wildlife, pass through forests and visit the châteaux of the Loire, whether it be the most famous or the least known of the castles of the Loire valley. You can also go down to the Loire river and even enjoy a picnic on its banks...
