Oléron Les Pins Indigo Campsite*** is located in an area that is managed by the ONF (French national forestry commission) and conforms with the ONF camping charter. Camp in the midst of nature on a beautiful, natural 5 hectare site, in the heart of the national forest of St Trojan Les Bains.

Oléron Les Pins Indigo Campsite has undulating pitches in the middle of a pine forest, where you can stay with tents, caravans and motor homes.
200 pitches are located across the site.

Ready to Camp Kit

Do you not have your camping equipment with you? Or would you like to travel light but still do real camping?
Then the Ready to Camp Kit is for you. Oléron Indigo Campsite, has Ready to Camp Kits available for you to hire. You can hire a tent and all the necessary equipment for camping.

The Hikers Tent

If you would like to set up a second tent on your pitch because your children would like a bit more independence during your holidays or you have friends coming to visit, the campsite has 2 person* tents available for hire.
Hire prices are €5 per day.

* A maximum of 6 people are allowed on your pitch in total.

In order to meet the needs of campers and make sure that you don't find yourself short of anything whilst camping, Oléron les Pins Indigo Campsite has created a camper's corner at reception. A whole range of useful and practical camping items are on sale here to help you out any time you are short of anything.

New for motorhomes for 2013:

1 night motorhome package. Arrival from 5 pm and departure before 10 am the next day. Ideal for a stopover at the Oléron les Pins Indigo campsite.

A motorhome service point is available on the campsite.

At Camping Indigo Oléron Les Pins, 2 fully renovated washroom blocks are available on the site as well as a washing-washing machine block. The design of the wooden shower blocks with a canvas roof means that they nestle in perfectly into the surrounding landscape. A laundry area is available for your use on the campsite.

As a blue Indigo Campsite, Oléron Les Pins*** exclusively offers Wood & Canvas tents for rent that nestle in perfectly with the natural surrounding environment. Stay by the sea in a Wood & Canvas tent and enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings in comfort!

Three models of "Wood and Canvas" tent are available at the Indigo Oléron Les Pins campsite: the Classic IV Wood and Canvas Tent, the Classic V Wood and Canvas Tent and the Sweet Wood and Canvas Tent.

Designed with a wooden floor and frame, they are fully equipped. They have a living area that opens onto a wooden terrace and two separate bedrooms that can accommodate up to 4 (Classic IV) or 5 people (Classic V/ Sweet).

Activities

Activities and a chance to relax on the campsite...

Oléron Les Pins Indigo Campsite has a heated pool (open from 26 April to 30 September), so that you can make the most of the France sunshine. Deck chairs and parasols are available for your use on the large wooden terrace.

Would you like to swim in the ocean?
You can rent bikes at the reception of Oléron Les Pins Indigo Campsite to explore the nearby beaches, that can be reached through the national forest of St Trojan : Petite Plage beach is just 1 km from the campsite and Gatseau beach is 1.5 km away.

Games facilities are available on the campsite for you to enjoy a game with your friends and meet other campers: a petanque court, a volleyball pitch, table tennis tables and a playground for smaller children. You can also hire bikes at reception to set out and explore the island of Oléron by taking the cycle path that goes past the campsite.

In the summer, the Oléron Les Pins Indigo Campsite organises a friendly nature themed activity programme, to give you the opportunity to take part in some great activities on the campsite and discover Oléron Island, its wildlife and its varied range of landscapes.

The children's workshops: Children's workshops are organised every weekday morning and involve activities that encourage children to develop new skills and learn and explore in a fun environment. Two workshops are organised over the course of the morning: one for 5-7 year olds and one for 8-11 year olds. This will give older children and adults the chance to take part in walks and bike rides around the island of Oléron with our activity leader.
In the daytime, you can take part in family outings organised by our partners: ecological shellfish gathering, nature walks through the dunes and forests, visits to the fish auctions and salt marshes, etc.
Don't miss our volleyball tournaments at 6 o'clock each evening and our other fun games (table tennis, etc.).
In the evening, you can take part in a unusual barbecue evening on the unspoilt beach of Maumusson, which is only accessible with the st Trojan tourist train!
Come along to the activity programme welcome meeting at the end of the afternoon every Sunday in July and August, for a full presentation of the week's activities! These sociable evenings will also give you the opportunity to meet our local partners.

The miniature train

Its miniature train allows you to discover the wild, sandy countryside and pine forests which are inaccessible by road : you can also go on a trip to Maumisson beach, the most unspoilt beach on the island

Camping Indigo Oléron Les Pins - Petit train St Trojan

Explore the villages of St Trojan Les Bains, Oléron castle and its citadel, and Chassiron lighthouse, which is 46 m high, and has a light that can be seen from up to 52 km away. You can also visit the island's main town, Saint Pierre d'Oléron, and don't forget to stop at Fort Boyard, the majestic 'stone vessel', off the Boyardville coast, that has now become one of France's most popular national monuments.

The national forest of Saint-Trojan

The island of Oléron has a lot of forested areas, the largest being the national forest of Saint-Trojan, which borders the Oléron Indigo campsite. This pine forest covers 2,000 hectares, which is a tenth of the total surface area of the island. The flora mainly consists of maritime pine, evergreen oak and mimosas and is protected by the ONF (French National Forestry Commission).

Those that enjoy sports can go cycling along the island’s numerous cycle paths, play tennis, go horse-riding and enjoy the watersports that the island is so famous for (windsurfing, surfing, sand yachting, etc.).
