Parc des Oiseaux Indigo Campsite
The Indigo Campsite Park des Oiseaux is situated on the edge of a river in Villars-les-Dombes in the Ain region (01).
Not far from the village, the Indigo Campsite Parc des Oiseaux is located in the heart of nature, amidst the lakes of the Dombes region, and just next to the Bird Park, which can be reached by foot from the campsite.. A relaxing site in the heart of the Dombes region, with a swimming pool, children's games and a café-restaurant. In July and August a special nature discovery activity programme is organised for all the family!

Pitches
The Indigo Campsite Parc des Oiseaux offers 160 flat, shady pitches on the banks of a river…
Stay in a lush, green environment less than 500 metres from the village and just next to the Bird Park (accessible by foot from the campsite).
The campsite has two comfortable shower blocks, entirely renovated in 2011. They are checked and cleaned several times a day.
Accommodation
At the Parc des Oiseaux Indigo Campsite, you can stay in a Wood & Canvas tent and sleep under a canvas roof in all the comfort...
- The Classic Wood and Canvas tents
The "Wood and Canvas" tents are built with a wooden floor and frame. They are fully equipped (fridge, stove, real beds with blankets and pillows, tables and chairs, crockery and kitchen utensils, lamps…) and also have a sheltered porch and a large, pleasant wooden terrace.
Suitable for 4 or 5 people, depending on the model.
Virtual tour accommodation
- At the Parc des Oiseaux Indigo Campsite, you can rent a wooden caravans.
Each gypsy caravans can accommodate up to 4 people. They consist of a living room with kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. So that you have a peaceful holiday, the gypsy caravans are organised into vehicle-free 'villages': a parking area is available.

The café-restaurant "La Spatule"
There is a restaurant open to campers on the Indigo Campsite Parc des Oiseaux where you can take a table inside or outside on the terrace to enjoy a meal, a drink or just to relax… Open: weekends, long weekends in June and July - August.
A whole range of useful services are available in the nearby village of Villars-Les-Dombes :

Activities
Stay just next to the Bird Park…
Located 500 m from the campsite, the Bird Park gives you the chance to see almost 2,500 birds from all around the world and to watch the incredible Bird in Flight Show.
A unique trip into a bird paradise that will be enjoyed by children and adults alike!
Facilities available for your use on the campsite !
Our campers have free access to the municipal swimming pool (open from June until August), located right next to the campsite.
On the campsite itself you can also enjoy a game of volley-ball, table tennis or petanque with family or friends. In the summer season, games and activities are organised for your children! There is also a children's playground on the campsite.
And if you would like to relax after a busy day out exploring, you can go to the central lodge to read a book or play a family board game.

The region
The village of Villars-les-Dombes…
As well as the Bird Park (see our activity page for more information), you can also explore the charming village of Villars-les-Dombes, with its eleventh century church that is classified as a historical monument.
You can take the "Pierre Poivre" footpath around the village or if you would like to visit the surroundings by bike, follow the tracks marked "Route des Etangs".

- The Dombes, an area of preserved wildlife…
The Dombes region with its many lakes is a haven for wildlife. You can observe a range of different types of bird (ducks, birds of prey, herons…) and go for a walk while listening to the sound of frogs.
A little known region that is ideal for walking, cycling and horse-riding!lo, ou à cheval !
During your stay in Villars-les-Dombes you can enjoy a visit to the surrounding villages of the Dombes region:
- Ars-sur-Formans, an important pilgrimage site with its basilica for the Holy Curé
